Do you have any tips/advice for anyone that wants to re-model their bedroom?
If there’s any part of our home that we would want to be feeling relaxed and just indulge in the moment being there, it’s our BEDROOM. Rest is very important and your bedroom plays a huge role in maintaining a good sleep pattern. In re-modelling the bedroom we do not only consider the aesthetic side but also the health benefits. Start by de-cluttering your room and creating a clean and relatively ordered space (not surprisingly, piles of unsorted papers could make you anxious or restless). Arrange your furniture in a way that feels natural and visually pleasing to you. Try to keep computers and TVs out, so that you come to know your bedroom as a haven for sleep, free of distractions. Choose wall colors that elicit warmth and calm. Although researchers have studied the psychology of color and some believe that certain hues affect our mood (for example, red being stimulating), no one knows your color-feeling connections better than you do. Pick colors, artwork, blankets, and so forth that are soothing to you. The space we sleep in has a huge effect on the quantity and quality of our sleep — and therefore the quality of our waking lives. After all, when we’re not properly rested, our brainpower, digestion, reflexes and much more suffers.
Better interior design really can help you get a better night’s sleep.
