Succulent Book Ends DIY Video

Time: 30 minutes

Supplies Needed

  • Succulent Studios subscription box — or 1–2 of your own succulents
  • Two 4 inch, 5mm thick corkboard squares
  • Two 4 inch pen holder with two sections
  • E6000 glue
  • Garden rocks
  • Succulent and cacti soil mix
  • Optional: Thumbtacks, notes, books and pens

Preparing the Planter

  • Glue the cork squares to the front of the pen holder with E6000 glue and let dry
  • Add a layer of garden rocks to the bottom section that you’ll be adding succulents to (here’s your chance to leave some sections empty for a pen holder)
  • Fill with soil to about 3/4 full

Adding the Succulents

  • Separate the succulent from its pot by pushing in on all sides to loosen soil, then remove the entire succulent and removing any extra soil from roots
  • Place the succulent directly into the soil and repeat for all sections you’re adding succulents to
  • Take a photo! Show off your #PenHolder #BookEnd and tag us #Sucstu on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter so we can see how it turned out!
